The Basic Hatchet is an Axe that can be purchased from Wood R Us for $12 Money. It is currently the cheapest axe in the game and is usually the first axe for new Lumber Tycoon 2 players. The boxed item is commonly used to open up the path to the Cavern of the Sight because it is the cheapest object in the game (Patched). It is the least powerful of all beginner's axes.
Design
It has a dull brown handle and head and has a dark yellow strap near its base. Its box is coloured yellow, the same with the Snowglow Wood's plank, the boxed Wobblebobble, and has its decal on its largest sides.
Obtaining
The Tutorial forces you to buy this. To obtain the axe, the player must have $12. Then, they must go to Wood R Us and locate the axe, which is the shelf nearest to the counter. Then the player must drag its box to the counter and talk to Thom and agree to purchase it.
