The Wood Detector is a logic item that can be purchased from Link's Logic for $11,300 Money.
Usage[]
The Wood Detector produces a signal if a specifically chosen wood type is detected by its laser. To use, place a small piece of a chosen type of wood in the hole in the device. A white laser will emit from the device once a piece of wood is inserted. If another piece of wood placed in front of the laser is the same type as the wood in the device, it will output a signal from the rear of the device. When it detects wood, it emits a quiet beep noise.
It should be noted that inserting multiple wood types inside the hole will cause the device to malfunction and not effectively work.
With this device, players have the ability to create a wood sorting system by setting up a conveyor belt system that shifts an item to an assigned area using different variants of conveyors.
The laser produced by the Wood Detector is short in length, and therefore cannot be used for mapping, unlike the Laser.
